Tonight I popped over to visit Savanna and her mom. Before I left, Savanna managed to A) guilt trip me about not being able to go on the church camping trip with her this weekend like I said I would and B) scribble “WASH ME” on the hood of my car in large, messy letters. After I confessed that having “WASH ME” written on my car was one of my worst fears in life (I was mostly joking), she hastily smudged the words out with her arm. So now there is just a big clean spot on the hood of my horribly dusty car. I’m not sure if this is an improvement.
Anyway, the whole thing made me think about my blog, and how any day now someone is going to come along and scrawl “UPDATE ME” in the dust that is rather shamelessly accruing on Lylium.org. I mean, really… one or possibly two updates a week? I’m falling off the horse!
The fact is, there are some pretty momentous (and exciting) changes afoot in my life at the moment—changes which I can’t exactly tell you about yet, but which I will soon. But in spite of the fact that said changes are making me ridiculously busy (they are the reason I couldn’t go with Savanna on that camping trip), I am going to make a concerted effort to post at least a small tidbit to the blog every day or two. I am telling you this not only to keep you interested in sticking around, but also so that you can keep me accountable when I continue to fall off the horse.
… Oh, and if I’m really on top of it, maybe I’ll wash my car, too.

One or two updates a week? That’s great compared to my pitifully updated blog.
Simple way to wash your car? Go to a car wash

That was a horribly mysterious post. But…. I…… love it!…….

Eddmun - I did not mean to imply that anyone else should feel guilty about how often they update their blogs… only that I would rather mine was updated more often.
Also, you’re right about the car wash… but I really prefer to do it myself. Is that silly?
Rachel, dear… you know what I’m talking about already. I told you at church, remember?

About the car washing, yes. (
) But then I don’t have a car so I can’t understand the possible sentimentality of owning one.
And about the guiltiness, I feel that anyway whenever someone updates their blog

Erin,
I think to say “falling off the horse” is not the best use of the horse analogy. I’d say it’s more like you have the horse in the stable and you only take it out and ride it once or twice a week.
And what a beautiful horse it is…(I mean, you write really well.)
